A scammer recently sent the following PM message to some Corvetteforum users:
I have the car in excellent condition, kindly click on my link and log in to
see photos and details
The link requires you to provide your login information at Corvetteforum and records it for the scammer. He then uses it to hijack your user ID and proceed to offer bogus sales deals to other users.
If you got this PM and particularly if you clicked on it, please change your password to prevent your user ID from being hijacked.
You always should be cautious of links you get from people you don't know. You should never give anyone, including a CF moderator/admin your password. If you get a sales offer that appears too good to be true, it probably isn't true. It's always a good idea to do reference checks and/or check the sales history of anyone you make online purchases from.
