Default 85 vet starts for 5 seconds then dies

Put new fuel pump in new oil pressure switch and still dies shortly after you start it. The guy I got it from said he was doing about110 in it when it started losing power, pulled over and it died. Then he said it started right up and he went to push gas and it died. Also I noticed that when it starts the second I pushed the gas it dies.

Not an expert on the C4 but it sounds like you are having an issue with the factory anti theft system (VATS). There is a relay on the passengers side, I believe it's behind the dash. I had an 84 with the same issue. Replaced or bypassed the relay, cant remember, and everything was fine. Good luck

Hopefully someone over there can give you some advice on what to look for - even if it is the same as here concerning the VATS.
