Default [ASKED] Track performance GS MRC vs Z51 with T1 Suspension

I would be interested to know in between GS non Z07 and Z51 with T1 suspension which would have better track performance assuming both using same tire despite the fact GS has some advantage due wider tires.

Great question, I'd like to know this too. I'm curious about the PTM suspension tuning of GS vs Z51 with mag ride as well.

Folks -

This question won the poll, so I'm going to post it up as "ASKED". However, as explained in the Poll thread, I'm not going to submit it until the 27th. We're going to skip a cycle.

Well, let's see what he has to say. I wish we also specifically asked why they decided to engineer this kit around such a soft set of springs (FE3), which is very much contradictory to the idea of T1 suspension itself.

jvp, could we add that to the question? In other words, unlike C6 T1, which came with much stiffer set of springs, the C7 T1 kit is designed for FE3 springs, and they are not stiff enough for track tires (at least in my experience).

I'd like to second this.

I ran 275x35x18 front & 305x30x19 rear Nitto NT01 tires (on a 9.5" & 11" wide wheel) and surprisingly didn't run as good lap times as the OEM 245x35x19 & 285x30x20 tire & wheel set up. It would appear that the C7 Z51 doesn't like wider tires/wheels in stock form as it upsets the balance of the car. When I was running the wider & stickier Nittos the back end didn't feel as planted as OEM tire set up.
