Default fog lighting

ok after being on the internet for 3 hours looking up fog lighting for C5 i am more lost than when i started. i was wondering if i could get some opinions on direct bulb swap lighting for the fog lights. i would like to go as high as 50watts but worry any higher and i will melt the wiring. anyone else replace there fog laight bulbs and have really good results?
Thanks
Rob

as far as i can tell, any 89x (x=any number) series replacement bulb will work on the stock fogs.

i'd recomment the PIAA 1100x fogs though, much better looking and light and still 35W.
