Default Adding sub/amp to factory Bose H/U?

I searched the forums but came up with too many different installs/tips and basically confused myself. I am looking to add an amp for my Kicker L5 sub. I have the Peripheral SVEN2 and SVHGM4 adapter but it seems that it adds the amp to amplify the stock speakers? It seems like some people used a PAC AOEM-VET1 but it looks to be the same concept...Do I need to get the PAC AOEM-VET1 or can it work with the SVEN2? Thanks guys

My amp also has speaker level inputs and was thinking about doing this. Do the rear speakers recieve a full audio signal? Also, what do you use as your remote turn on?
Thanks,

I think the rears get full range. I know it gets plentey of BASS

The amp turn on is from the back of the raido
and only turns the amps on when the raido is on.
Or you can run it to the fuse box not as good of a
idea but its easy. The amp will be on w/the key even
if the raido is off.

If this is a C5 then the answer is NO regarding full range of sound to the rear speakers, they provide mid to high pass signal, the low pass signal is only present in the door speakers.

The PAC OEM VETTE1 will be exactly what you need to add a amplifier and sub woofer to your existing stock HU/Bose speaker set up.

I have this exact set up in my Z06 and it works great.

this way works for some and for some it doesnt. more people have success with the pac. you can try this way first and then if anything try a pac or what you have. If you can take a pic of the harnesses you have that would help out a lot

there is a signal at the rear speakers but the low frequency is very minimal meaning the pac adapter is really the way to do ti

Before adding my sub I searched this topic to exhaustion.... adding an adaptor from the H/U (such as the PAC) seemed to be the only "right" way to do it.

Maybe I am missing something. What is the PAC and how/where do you put it? I ran speaker wires from my rear speakers to the amp(high level inputs) and then to the sub. It sounds OK but not what you would expect.

the pac fits easily behind your hvac controls and the directions are pretty simple. PLug into this harness and tape into this wire for amp remote wire.
