Default Ipod hard wired to SM FM modulator?

I have on of those Ipod transmitters for my F150 truck that doesn't work worth a damn. I would like to hardwire my Ipod to the truck. I have an old (still in use) XM modulator which is a box about 2 inches thick and 6x8 inches. I was wondering if I could wire my Ipod through that modulator.

Anyone have an Idea?

Thanks

It may be possiable but you would have to figure our which wires send the signal, if it plugs into like the headphone jack of the xm radio then its as simple as just plugging that into the ipod. Otherwise they make fm transmitters specifically for this. Circuit City sells an audiovox unit that I have used in many cars with great results
