Almost done but need help with connection to batter
Trying to finish my install, almost done but having issues with positive connection to the battery. My 04 C5 has top posts with a clamp that uses a beveled nut that tighten the clap. When it is tightened down there does not look to be enough room to put a ring and nut on there. If I put the ring below the clamp nut it does not clamp right and the main cable can still be pulled off. Any suggestions.

For between $5-20 there are specialty top post mounts for large wires. I prefer the ones with the screw crimps like these:

They'll give you a much better connection than the basic crimp ring terminal. If you're planning on the "big 3" you ought to consider getting 2 so you can have one for the negative post too.

correct that is how you would do it
other options are to put another nut ontop with ring terminal although it will barely thread on
for a system thats not a ton of power you could go to the acc + terminal next to the fuse box

I changed the ring terminal on the power wire to something thinner, was using a really thick Streetwires one. It fit over the bolt along with the wire for the radio and there was enough thread left to put a nut on top and securely tighten it. Everything is up and running now but I have 2 issues to work out now. One of Z's tweeters is being intermittent. I know what it is but will take it to the shop and have then fix it. Then some how between this morning and tonight the 12v wire from the battery to the radio quit working, or at least I assume so since after I power it off it acts like it has had total power disconnect. Ugh tired will figure it out tomorrow.

Got my Z fixed at the shop this morning. Figured out I had the radio's switched and constant power wires reversed, guess I was a little to on auto pilot yesterday. So tonight after work I should be able to get it all done.
