Default Nav seems to be "running" when car off

I am mid-stream on an OEM Nav install in place of my base radio and everything appears to be going okay so far (still need the VSS).

However, I am hearing a "whirling" noise, very faint, from the unit even when the car is completely off. Everything seems to work ok (when in ACC mode), and the unit shuts off as it should when I turn the car off, but for this noise. It sounds like maybe the disc(s) are turning, but I have no idea if that is the case. Indeed, with the car in off position I can't figure out what power it is getting.

Any ideas?

Turns out to be a non-issue. From another forum learned this is normal, and that the unit shuts off completely in about three minutes.
