Default who has the loudest subs in a c5 and can still put the roof in the back?

I知 doing an install for a friend it will be used to play at car shows and as a demo car. He is out of town so I came to the internet for some help.

So far I知 thinking about a cdt 3way set up, 4" comp set and 61/2" midbass powered by a Hifonics XXV-Gemini, Crossed over around 250 Hz.

for subs I知 going with 3 fi audio q 10's powered by a Hifonics XXV-Thor, the sub box is the only thing I知 iffy about. I need about 2.2cuft and was thinking about having the box all the way to the back of the trunk facing into the car so I can use the storage space for more room.

Do you guys think I can do this and still be able to use the stock hardware to hold the top in place?

If I have to how hard will it be to move the brackets up 4-5" and mount to the sub box itself?

I built a box for 3 - 12" subs. It fits in the area between the top mounts and the back seat, pretty sure there is no issue for 3 - 10". Mine fired backwards, it was just too much bass, even with 300 watts to the 3-way setup in the doors...

I have also seen where the brackets were moved and mounted to the top of the box itself like you suggested.

Here's a concept for a single 12" Superwoofer like an MTX 9512... drawn up by scottfx

Sloped false floor maybe? Or "volcano" type enclosures. Check out the "what do you run" sticky for some cool pics of setups in vettes, nice place to gather info.

I know a guy that hits 143 db with one 12" IDMAX in a ported box that is just in the center well. He has several 1st place trophies and a 4th from the USAC nationals in Dallas last November. I have a pair of Boston Acoustics G3 10" subs for sale that will work with the Boston GTR radiators. These would play like ported 10's in one cubic foot for the pair!! Check out Boston's website for them....

I am in the process of building a one off fiberglass box for a single 12W7 and I will still be able to put the top in the car. I am going to paint the box black for now and if I like it I may cover it in vinal or something that will blend into the car a little better. I will post the pictures and what I think of the sound once I get it together.

Two 10's and two 12's in the back of a C5 and the top fits. WAS NOT EASY...and took a lot of measuring and tweaking but it works perfectly.
