Default C5 front speaker advice

I noticed my drivers side front speaker isn't working properly. The tweeter is not playing. The sub/mid plays fine though.

Do I begin troubleshooting by removing the tweeter and hooking up another speaker in its place?

If its blown is it worth it to go aftermarket for the tweeter or will a stock bose tweet sound better with the bose sub/mid?

Before spending any money I'd make sure it was the speaker first. Swapping the 3.5's from side to side would work for that if you don't have one available to use.

If it is blown, ANY aftermarket speaker would sound better than the stock speakers. You can probably find a take out for cheap (many just throw them away), but Boston Acoustic S35 or Polk db351 are popular replacements for about $50.
