Default Bose CD problem in 91 Coupe

Had the CD player replaced about 6 months ago. Was driving around yesterday listening to ole Fats Domino do a little "Blue ZMonday" and it sounded like the song speed was speeded up. It stopped and then started it again. I ejected the CD and played it again, no problem.

Does it sound like something wrong with the CD or the changer.

Any assistance very much appreciated.

Is this an aftermarket or stock as the 91 didn't come with a changer option that I know of.

Thanks for your reply. The Bose Gold System had both a CD and cassett in the 91s.

I see. I had the same one. It sounds like either the CD's motor or something in its drivetrain is going. I don't know if it does but some CDs had rubber belts that drove the cd. If it was slowing down and then coming back to normal I would suspect that. But speeding up probably means that either the motor is starting to go or the circuit that regulates the voltage to the motor is on the way out giving the cd drive more power than it needs. If it starts to happen often, have it serviced or upgrade with something new.
