Radar detector + GPS navigation: Passport iQ
I placed an order for an Escort iQ, should have it in about a week. The owner's manual.
Since it weighs 1.95 lb, I plan to put it on the dash of my 2010 C6 coupe, that should give good-enough front view for radar detection, be legal in California because it is off the windshield and does not affect my view of the road (will hide the hood mostly).
I had an Escort 9500ix before and this iQ has the same sensitivity.
I will add more info after I started using it a bit.

Dealbreaker
Got the unit yesterday and now returning it because of something important: I cannot browse the map and pick a destination. This was confirmed by the manufacturer (I called them to double-check).
This is something that most navigation GPS uniits can do and I use extensively.
They will probably update their software in a future version, but I don't want to wait.
