Go Fast
Very interested in the final out come of your install and your thoughts on the Polks. I am thinking of the same combo as a temp system upgrade while I get my permanant system together.

Well, you talked me into it. I'm ordering some myself. I already have a sub added to the factory system so these should make the system good enough to my ears.

Just installed my fronts and wow a big difference! Install went flawless, no broken clips or extra parts!
I ended up keeping the stock wire harness clips just in some strange case I feel like putting the stock speakers back in the car. I just removed the blue clip from the stock speakers and soldered it to speaker wire then soldered it to the new speaker. Pretty clean install. Both clips are the same (back ones might be too) instead of wasting time with a color wire diagram just use this pic
Here's what my speakers with the clip connected looked like
I put a little bit of foam around the blue clip before reinstalling the door panel to make sure it didn't rattle around back there. Speakers sound great. Install took about 2 hours and that includes running up and downstairs to solder (stupid garage doesn't have an electrical socket ). Started with intentions of taking the top off and listening to my new speakers because it was bright sunny and warm and 2 hours later when I finished the clouds had rolled in.
Now it's raining. No Vette today Have to drive this bad boy.
