Default Pioneer Z130 or Kenwood 6980? What would you do?

I am getting ready to switch head units on my double din C5 stereo and I am looking for pros/cons to each of these units. Since they both are brand new, I guess I would like info on the brands rather than the units themselves, unless you got one of the first ones out of production.

I removed a Pioneer Avic F900, nice unit but I want to see what else is out there.
I don't use Pandora, mostly HD radio, iPod and some sat radio. I want good navigation and Pioneer was always been good. I use a Tom Tom in my daily driver, so I have no expierence with Garmin in the Kenwood.
I use an iPhone 3GS and plan on getting the iPhone 5 this Fall once released.
Another personal issue for me is how many contacts can be stored in the memory of the unit, my F900 only had 400, I have over 600 presently in my phone.

At present all my cables and hook ups are for the Pioneer, so I am not sure what I will need to change if i go to Kenwood. I am running a back up camera too.

Plus one local shop told me you can't use the bluetooth on the Pionner unit while driving? And that the Kenwood unit is easy to defeat the nav controls while in motion, and you can't do that on the Pioneer. Not that I would use it while driving, but my co-pilot could.

My thoughts
PRO-Kenwood USB port on the front
PRO-Pioneer larger screen
Con-Pioneer motorized screen, not sure it will fit my bezel

Dennis from DD Mods has been a big help and is probaly tired of all my PM's on the subject.

Thanks, let me know your thoughts.

Anyone want to buy a slightly used Avic F900BT?

I recently switched from a D3 to x920BT, the plugs were the same but a few of the wires were different in the newer model. If you stick with the Pioneer make sure you compare all of the wire locations in the harnesses.

I would go with the 6980

I have the 130 and 930 instock
Pioneer changed the harness for this year.
It looks like the bypass should be easier as well. I think they moved the one wire over already. I need to do one yet but have not had time to try it out.

The Kenwood BAV is so much nicer than Pioneer to me

I'm torn between the two as well. I like the larger screen of the z130. the ipod interface really does seem to be more intuitive.

anyone else out there with direct knowledge of these two or the previous models?

Default HU comparison

The choice should really be between the z130 and the 9980HD.

The 9980 is nice and I agree they are more similar, but the price is much higher. The 6980 and the z130 are within $100 of each other.

What about the 7180? It may be more comparable to the z130 taking price into consideration.

I have the z120 in my 08 and the only thing I don't like about it is the touch screen is very senstive its touchy to slide up and down with out mistakenly selecting the option you are trying to slide up or down. Other than that I love it. Never had a kenwood so can't really compare. I have the bypass and have full function of DVD, Nav, etc when the car is in motion.

I just had the Z130BT installed. I also had problems with the touch screen being so sensitive while scrolling. After reading the manual, I discovered that you are suppose to firmly touch an icon and scroll with your finger on it. Unlike the iphone. Once I discovered that, I had no more problems with accidently going into the wrong option.
