I had my 9980 hooked up last week, and when I try to go to Pandora, it says Check device.

I have pandora on my Iphone and started the app, but it will not play on my HU.

I tried it as Bluetooth and it did work.

Just trying to get it to work right. Read the manual and it did not shine any light.

I get this issue on my z130 sometimes. Try quitting the app on the iPhone and then restarting it. The other thing I did was switch to radio then back to pandora which makes it try to reconnect with the phone...which works also.

I started pandora on the phone then once started I connected it to the radio. It loaded up and was able to play.

I recently installed a kenwood, not sure what the model is exactly, and excelon 5xx series. When i select Pandora and it says 'check device', my phone will pop up a message stating that the headunit is trying to launch pandora, and for me to allow or disallow. I do not get this all the time.... For instance, if i already have pandora playing on the device, and i plug it into the head unit, it will start playing under the 'usb/ipod' interface, but if i then switch it to pandora (to avoid commercials), then it just pick's up where it left off.
