Default New radio sounds like garbage....HELP!

I installed a JVC KW-NT3HDT DVD/Navigation Receiver that I had. It was previously installed in one of my trucks, but when I sold it, I put the factory radio back in and kept the JVC.

I installed it in my C6 Z06 ( with bose non onstar) last night. The sound is garbage and I think worse than the factory system.

I used the following components:

Metra E5000 SPDT Relay SPDT Relay w/Socket
GM VT-GMOS-04 GM Class II Data bus Interface
GM Antenna Adapter Motorola M to OEM antenna F

I hooked it up according to the instructions, but still have an alternator whine. The music also sounds distorted and crappy.

It sounds "fair" when the car if off, but there is not as much volume as before. The speakers are hooked up via the RCA output in the rear of the radio body.

I am thinking it is the factory blows speakers and blows amp. Thoughts?

Would pulling the factory blows speakers and amp out and replacing it make a difference? Would this help remove the alternator whine?

The chimes are also all goof chinked. They worked fine with the car off but once everything was buttoned back up, it seems the settings have changed.

Honestly I am kind of pissed and waiting for ideas / feedback.

I was thinking about replacing the factory speakers with aftermarket and removing the bose stuff all together and getting a different harness (if someone makes something better) to keep the chimes and warning beeps.

Anyone?

Sorry, The car is an 06. It had the 6 disk bose, but not onstar.

I know the isolators will take care of the whine but I don't think it will help the quality of sound out of the factory speakers....

Installing GLI's and replacing the gmos with a C2R-GM24 should fix everything except the Bose speakers.

...or Blose amp.

when trying to diagnose noise in my system i tried three different ground loop isolators with varying success, the best of which was PAC SNI1 Noise Isolator. i am not currently using any isolator with my stock nav, aftermarket amp and aftermarket speakers because grounding the interconnects to the radio chassis and using an antenna isolator eliminated all noise in my system.

Ok. So here is the idea I want to go in, all feedback welcomed:

Replace stock speakers with ???? component speakers

Remove Bose amp.

Replace the GMOS with a C2R-GM24.

Should this fix the issues? Would I still need to keep the 30A relay?

Is there anywhere I can buy this that is fixed so I just plug and play?

This is a pain in the ****.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

you can place component speakers in the doors w/ a 6.5" mid-range and 1" tweeter. i am using polk audio mm6501 and am pleased. they can be purchased for less than $200. i bought mine from the website named after a jungle in south america. you will need a speaker baffle to install them... nakid parts and RAAMaudio sell the baffle.
