Default HELP ! New Audio install and car won't start?

***** DISREGARD - THIS SHOULD READ LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU REMOVE YOUR BCM *****
( Please learn from my mistakes, and kids do not try this at home, I am a professional )

Okay, spent the last 20 hours doing complete removal of Bose and a damn fine job of new Focals in the doors, custom A- Pillar Tweeter mounts, nice 5-channel Amp to drive everything......(pictures coming, but this first)

Got everything wrapped up and car won't start, engine won't even crank....

Ok dead battery from having all doors hatches open for 20 hours, no problem charging the battery, battery is charged and still NOTHING !

So here the quirks:
- Odd thing is Courtesy lights don't come on?
- Gauge cluster lights up, throws low fuel warning, service active handling, service engine soon messages.
- Headlights and blinkers work, but Fog LIghts don't work ?
-Key fob locks and unlocks the doors but driving lights don't flash and horn doesn't honk?
- The power windows don't work and I most certainly connected the door harness when reassembling evrything,
- all of the wiring was just internal speakers, I had already ran amp wires , and deck was already PAC RCA from previous, so I did not touch anything, except removing BOSE Amp? that is the only major thing was removing the Bose Amp ?

Help, what gives, did the car go into some security lock ?

Craziest crap ever seen ?
Any help greatly Apprecritated!

What are the chances that you bought a cheap stereo adapter that has such a weak plastic connector on it that you actually plugged in the new head unit to the interface in the car -upside down-

x2 on this

from your profile pic it looks like you have a c5. are you sure what you removed was the bose module. if you removed something in passenger kickpanel it very much was not a bose amp and it was one of the cars computers

Ummmm, me might double check that, too many posts seen of installing amps down there may have led me to disconnecting BCM, what an idiot!

What an idiot, now where to put all the 3 hours of detailed cross over wirings!

Crap!

So this would make a great home stereo system but not so much make a great car!
Idiot, I profess my stupidity, evidentially C5 be a bit different than C6's...
Thanks for showing me the light!
Ps I wondered why there were no Bose markings anywhere?
Doh!

Crossovers are Out, BCM back in (kind of important I found out)

Now to relocate crossovers, and where might be that damn Bose amp?

Any good suggestions for mounting the crossovers on C5 ?

Much obliged and will try hide my stupidity a little better moving forward!

My crossovers are inside my head unit.

But back in the day, I have had them in the following places:

* In the amp rack
* Under the seats
* In the doors on the speaker plate (facing interior side, this is important!)

Thanks Kale, looks like doors may win, although under the seat is not bad option!

Was that in the Vette or something different as it deosnt seem like much room under these seats?

Thanks!

Pull down the flat plastic piece with the foot well light on it, plenty of room up there for crossovers, and you prob won't have to redo any wires

Thanks Mark, but are talking C5 or C6, cause as you see in previous pic, I have panel removed and there is no room overhead, even the foam on panel has indents from condenser etc...wish ther was, just not seeing it?

What am I missing?
Thanks!

C5/C6 are pretty much the same up there. Put them on the foam or hang from above with zip ties. I have lots of crap shoved up there

Man if that fits that would be golden, like you said wiring wouldnt even have to be touched, could just flip crossovers overhead, that will be next effort,
Thanks Mark!

I just mounted my crossovers up inside the far right side next to the glove box (C6 though). I found a surface and was able to use velcro for both XOs. Good luck ...

Funny about the C5 BCM, as it looks like an amp.
