Default What System Interface Kit do I need?!

I am going to purchase the DEH-P8400BH CD receiver for my 1998 C5. I am wondering if someone can give me detailed instructions of what I exactly need along with the best place to purchase them from. Could someone give a run through on the installation with the suggested interface kit? I have heard horror stories about these interfaces.

If you're keeping the oem speakers, the most reliable interface is this one.

If adding new amp/speakers, you really don't need an adapter, just switched power from the footwell or....

If you want to retain R.A.P. you can add a GMRAP.

Get the ROEM. If you want the radio to stay on until you open a door also get the GMRAP, otherwise it will turn off with ignition.

Connecting it is pretty easy, mostly plug-n-play with a few wires that need to be spliced into car harness.

Those wires that need to be spiced in will they be included in the instructions?

You'll need a GM antenna adapter. If you buy the ROEM from Dennis I believe he includes one in the kit.

Maybe a few feet of wire (there SHOULD be enough in the radio harness) and some splice taps like these (available at walmart) to connect 'extra' features of the HU to the car.
