Default Popping noise when listening to FM radio

Hi all,
I am getting what sounds like ignition noise when listening to the FM radio in my 04 coupe. Seems to be rpm related. Any insight on how to cure this?
Thanks

Any chance you just did a tune-up and removed the plug wire boots?

No. Nothing like that. I haven't done any recent work at all. It only seems to do this on the fm band. The iPod seems to be fine. It's not a big deal. Just a little annoying at lower volumes.

I'm a little confused as well. I'll take a look at the plug wires to see if there is anything obvious but the car is running great. If it were a plug wire, I would think performance would suffer.

Stock radios generally don't have engine whine issues unless the metal boots have been removed from the plug wires.

The coupe antenna module is mounted on the wall behind the drivers seat, near the bottom right corner. Something could be going on with that, but if reception is good it prob isn't likely.

Click here for the coupe antenna module schematic. Check the rear hatch wires to make sure the 'case ground' is still connected. I'm not exactly sure where to tell you to look, but the entire cable is only a few feet long.

I took a look at the case ground connection and there was some corrosion. I removed and cleaned connection and the noise is now gone. Thanks for the great info. This forum is the greatest.
