No problem.... This should take care of the problem.... Adjust it with volume up and door open and key in acc position so chime is going as well

Ok, that worked ... and it didn't change the chime volume, which is a good thing. But that potentiometer is really quite cheaply made and hard to adjust.

Everything working now except for the microphone for the handsfree. Was I supposed to install the separate mic that came with the DNX? I thought it would use the built-in mic.

You need to use the mic that came with the new HU

In my experience the tape that comes on aftermarket mics is pretty cheap, try using a clip under the trim or a small piece of the 3M double sticky tape.

All is well now ... I think

Thanks Dennis, 1FUNC5, and markcz.

By the way, I'm quite good now at removing and reinstalling a C6 console.

Default Thanks

Just want to thank you guys for posting this! Without knowing any better I connected the blue/pink wire from the gmos (along with the blue/white one) and that was causing the radio to cut audio off completely- except for when the chimes went on.
Solved!

Thanks again. I created an account just to say this.
