Are all these sets plug & play with no extra amplification required? I'm running a base non-Bose head unit.

not really
unless you want to add amps run all new wiring and then put a sub box in the back

The Kicker is a really nice budget option...
If you want the best sounding option then the JL C2 is the way to go.
No matter which one you go with the results are way better than stock.

would these be wasted on a stock Head Unit? Im thinking about getting a Sub as well. Would i need to get a new HU to justify and maximize the performance out of all of it?

if you ask me

if your wanting to add a sub then you need an amp.
So if buying an amp you might as well get a 5 channel amp then then we upgrade to components in the front.
This is how I would do it if I were adding an amp.

I can set you up with a package deal on adding a sub as well.
Just call me or message me and let me know if interested.

Default Speakers in my 98

Mine is a convertible.. Do these speakers come with full installation instructions? And the packages come with ONE wire.. wouldn't I need more? Finally, which package do you suggest for a vert? Thanks

Shouldn't be as we have sold multiple sets to FRC/Z06 owners and have never had a complaint

You only need the plugs for the rear.. The stock 3.5 has std speaker terminals on the wire up front. The best bang for the buck package without buying components, 5ch amp, and sub are the kickers... Anything else is getting dangerously close to what I could sell you a full upgrade pkg for.
