Need a 12V Out With Radio On for Freq. Expander
Hi Guys,
I have been reading through the post on the radio/cassette/CD.
In my case the schematic did not seem to show what I was looking for.
Because my 2002 C5 is an export to Japan it uses a different freq band, I have purchased a freq expander and going to fit it into the standard BOSE radio system for now. The expander draws very little current, but I don't want to leave it on, tapped into the live 12V supply.
I would like to use a line out from the BOSE that is live when the radio is on (only).
I was thinking that maybe I can use the antenna/amp wire (if there is one in there), and this would be able to power the expander. Any thoughts on this use?
And if someone knows the colour for the wire, I'd be grateful.
If there is a better wire to use, then could you please advise me on this also.
(I am looking at the purchase of a Pioneer AVH-X8550BT in the very near future, has everything onboard. I will most likely use the BOSE speaker system.)
Regards
Kevin.
