Progress

I have the wiring harnesses in the car.. although I might have to add one power converter for the Arduino, I was going to wait, but might just add it and be done.

Thinking of installing the custom ROM for the Unit that adds more space for apps.. I hae everything backed up...

On a side note my seats are done:

thanks,

this was a challenge since it sits behind the panel and the panel is flush to the radio..

It is here and looks good but is not 100% perfect.. I really need to redo the mounts for it, but I also need to get the car done for my Bowling Green trip in May..

So it will have to do for now

Not too much.. interior is almost back together.. I have to paint the bezels.. the one above and the console (needed to fix it a bit)

Next ont he list is to cut that radio bezel and add 4 buttons for controlling antenna, amps and then have 2 spares..

I need to order a couple arduino's one I will use for the switches. I wanted this stuff on the radio, but i don't really want to relay on an app for it..

That is it at the moment.. I will say the radio does sound good so far from the testing I have done

I'd go with 4 for sure.
If you don't use them immediately it's almost guaranteed that you will use them eventually and they'll be there when you need them without taking the bezel out and hacking on it again!!!
It's looking good and you're getting close to the finish line!!

Well, the added buttons are not in yet.. going to drive the car without them for now.. I need to build the circuits for them and such.. I have a temp solution for the switches though

Hoping to paint the bezel this weekend

I am really getting good at the Bezels now:

All I need to do is wire up the backup camera and get a new battery

nothing new.

I still need to connect the reverse wire to the headunit to automatically switch to the back up camera.. that should be a 20min job once I find the wire.. LOL

I need to get some time to get it off the lift and then nice weather to drive it..

As for the bezel, I will be working on the one i just took out as well as another.. I have a few ideas I need to try

Camera is connected to reverse wire to automatically turn on.. Which I do like.. It will display before android is booted up which I really like

the NU3001 will stay in sleep for 2 hours, then shut down which is nice so after a couple days it reboot essentially on start up. I wish I had more control over the backlighting (automated at least)

I need to get the camera level, just not had a proper amount of time yet, but it is close..

One thing I miss is an actual **** or buttons for volume and I don't have a right left balance (not that it is needed)

I did not really like the RCA **** and volume control although I could do that I might find a way to use the SWC input for controls but they might not be on a Steering wheel.. Not sure how I would pull that one off where it looked good

Maybe something LIKE THIS with the proper resistance values wired to each contact. C6 SWC schematic is HERE

THANKS!! Since I can set the buttons in the SWC menu, I can use the Resistance values you posted..

I was thinking this:

Or do a dual purpose.. the 4 buttons could be:
Vol +, Vol -, MUTE, and one extra to control the Antenna. but if I use the hidden antenna then I only really need the up and down vol
