Phenomenal job on those bezels, the install looks great.

For hard buttons, Tuatara was planing on building a **** for volume along with some other functions, then posting it up as a how to. He had a post some weeks/months back with links to the parts if you wanted to find them and mess about with it. I think they are rather cheap. Unfortunately, to get the full tutorial, it sounds like he is going to be rather busy for a while and wont get it made for some time.

As for areas to put buttons, now that you have the bezel work perfected, you could dig into the ashtray area and add some buttons there, if you cant fit them (or dont want them) on the radio bezel. I cant read it from the picture, is that magnetic ride control switch next to the seat adjustment? If you hardly use it, you could move it to the ashtray area and put a **** in that spot.

So I wanted to update..

I love the NU3001.. no regrets to swapping from the tablet.. There is a good user base doing programming for it and making it more flexible..

I really want a second one for my daily driver now...

One thing I don't like is the all touch on it.. I wish I had either a few hard buttons or steering controls for at least Volume...

so that is on my list at some point.. I also am thinking anything new I will start a new thread for the unit since the nexus is no longer in the car

Jeff, congratulations on the progress!
I'll be looking for your new thread to continue to follow your progress.
I may end up giving up on the tablet and go this route myself. I'm not there yet, but, I'm getting pretty close.
Thanks for the continued updates!
