Nice job, your indicator isn't stuck, when you reassembled you didn't install the indicator in the lever so when you slide the shifter into all the different modes.
You need to slowly lift the center console enough to slip your fingers into the shifter and you will feel index for the indicator, take your time.

Dt86 - what modifications to the bezel were required? I thought a double din radio fit in the stock opening with minor modification (as in, trimming the plastic at the rear of the opening). Probably would have to trim some of the plastic face on the sides of the radio as the after market radio is not as wide as the factory radio, yes?
