Pioneer 8000NEX Review
Got my system up and running... 8000NEX, JL front components, rear coaxial, JL 5 channel amp, JL 10w3 sub, and Pyle rear camera. Everything sounds really good! So clear your ears will ring and make you go deaf before you hear any distortion. Surprising amount of bass out of one 10" sub, rounds out the sound perfectly and provides more than enough boom for me.
Overall the 8000NEX is a nice unit. Fast and responsive and the screen looks great. I'm running into some bugs, though. The app mirroring cable apparently doesn't support the HTC EVO LTE which is pretty lame considering it's one of the top phones and has been out for a while. I was totally caught off guard and let down once I realized I can't use these features. I also cannot get Pandora to work. I can connect via bluetooth but get "connection failed" when I try to launch Pandora on the phone/head unit. It also plays VERY quietly through my speakers, but cannot turn up the volume and the display doesn't show the info it should, just the error. Very bizarre.
So, I really like the unit but it sucks I can't use the features that I bought it for. If I don't get it working, considering swapping out for a Kenwood unit. I hear the top of the line unit has Android built in, so you can play apps directly from the unit instead of having to mirror through your phone.

Just solved the Pandora issue, I was using an unsupported version of the App so the issue was on my end. So, I guess my only real complaint is limited support of the mirroring capability. Guess I might need to buy a new phone

Might want to see if there is an current update, or a update coming for the radio to solve the problem before you rush out and buy a new phone.

Been using the navigation a bit, and it works great also. The maps don't appear to have much detail, but when there are exits you need to take, it does pop up additional info on what exactly the road, lanes, and interchanges look like and highlights the lane(s) you need to stay in. Pretty cool stuff. Works pretty seamless with music playing also, you can switch back and forth between the two pretty quickly and easily. It also shows either the song info, or the next upcoming turn and distance at the bottom in a scroll bar like display, depending on which view you are in. So, the unit does a good job of keeping you informed.
