This model has been discontinued, and is popping up at closeout prices. The new model has a couple additional features, but no performance upgrades that I've seen reported. If anyone needs a great detector at a reasonable price, these are starting pop up for $240ish (woot has them today at $240, Amazon at $256).

If you don't need the GPS functionality, the Smart Detector from Escort has been selling for $170 - $200.
