Default C6 1LT Engine/Alternator Noise w/ AVIC Z110?

I just installed my AVIC Z110 in my 08 1LT using the installation kit from DoubleD Mods for non-Bose with OnStar. When the car is in ACC mode, there is a weird noise coming from the rear speakers. When the car is started, there is a whistle that increases with RPM's coming from them.

If the 'weird noise' is a hiss you may just have the rear channel gain turned up too high on the amp. You can try just turning it down some, or do this basic tune on your entire setup.

If it is your gains set too high, that would fix the hiss, but not the alt whine. If the gains are WAY too high you might get lucky and just not hear the whine after lowering the gain. If still there try relocating the RCA's and power wires farther apart.

It's not really a hiss. It's like a faint popping/crackling from the rear speakers with the engine off. Once it's on, it's a whine that's increases as the RPM's increase.

PAC OS-2C for non-Bose with OnStar. Everything is stock other than the head unit I'm putting in.

Is it ONLY in the rear speakers?

Have you disconnected the rear speaker wires from the HU to the OS2C to see if it goes away? If you do, and it does, try swapping the front & rear wires. If it moves to front then it could be an issue with the radio.

Did you seriously bump this without performing the tests that Mark gave you?

I can't speak for everyone here, but I know I sure as hell am not going to try and help you if you aren't willing to listen to good advice. Do what Mark says, report back with the results, and move on from there.

Jesus, some people...

I obviously did perform the tests he suggested and nothing came from them, hence the reason I bumped my thread. The harnesses are wired correctly and the noise is still present in the rears. Please provide your input elsewhere if you have nothing beneficial to contribute.

So with rear speakers disconnected the sound goes away and when you swap the front and rear speaker wires you get the noise from the rear again?
Must be bad rear speakers.

The rear speakers are perfectly fine with no static or noise with the stock head unit.

Have yo reinstalled the stock HU to make sure nothing happened to speakers during the HU swap? If so you may have a bad HU or bad interface unit.

I guess I would try and get a replacement HU and see if that helps.
