Default Need help installing a Self-Powered Sub!

So first of all I did lots of searching and checked the FAQ as well and found this:

How to Connect Amp/SW to NAV:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...94&forum_id=20
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...25&forum_id=74

First link I couldn't understand any of it without pics.
Second link shows how to do it with an adapter that I can't find anywhere.

I have an Infinity Basslink II self-powered sub-woofer.

I have the Bose system with NAV btw.
Someone please help! It's so hard listening to music without it!

What year is your car

The links you posted aren't working, copy the address from the actual page, not a shortcut.

I just saw you said Nav, so assuming C6....

Make THIS ADAPTER to get RCA outputs for the sub.

Oops, my bad, it's a 2005 C6, I thought this was in the C6 section.

Thanks for that link btw. I tried to see if they had that part (PAC ADD-GM24) on the Best Buy site and found this (PAC AOEM-GM24). Will it work?

The harness plugged in to the left side of the box is the Add-GM24. You can get that setup and modify the harness, or you can use it as it's intended, but the box does slightly alter the sound when it passes through.

If you want just the harness see if Dennis has any in stock. If not I may have an extra one in my garage somewhere.

So I finally got my adapter but now how do I connect it to the sub?
Where do I connect the Remote wire?
How do I get the sound to the sub?
I have also heard of people running the positive and negative, left and right from the rear speakers (which would go in the left bottom port from the pic I posted of the amp/sub). Is this right or do I connect it another way?

I really appreciate any help anyone can give me. I've never had this much trouble installing.......well....anything..

Rear speakers don't work, that's why you need the adapter cable

Run RCA's from the adapter (behind the radio) to the sub (in trunk). Also run a trigger wire that's you connect to the wire at pin B3 of the harness (stock plug is labeled, but the stock wire is white).

Run fused power wire from battery or fuse box post to new sub, attach ground at base of B-Pillar under carpet or to seat bolt.

Ohhhh, I think I get it now. So I still need that adapter harness you mentioned earlier (this thing here) even though I have a different adapter harness for the isimple connect? I can't just wire those RCA plugs to the isimple adapter harness right? Below is the pic of the adapter harness that came with said isimple connect.

Thanks for your help Markcz and being patient with my lack of audio install knowledge :tomato: This should be my last question.

Is one of those plugs the one with 24 pins?

Yup! It's the one on the very left. It's got the mentioned wire colors on the link you posted too! Looks like all my questions are answered, time to start taking the center console apart. Thanks again!

C6 prints are HERE, C1 is the 24 pin connector, A8/A9=left front +/-, B11/B10=right front, B8/B9=left rear, A11/A10=right rear. The colors on your new harness won't match the stock wire connectors, so use the pin numbers on the plug.

You'll need to leave the current wires in the new harness intact and add your new ones as a "T" to just tap into the signal. Since you need to run a set of RCA's to the new sub, it would prob be easiest to just buy a long RCA wire set and snip off one end to connect to your new harness. Just make sure you get the +/- wires connected properly.

Oh this good info, I was gonna ask if I should snip it or not.
I have a really long RCA cable from a previous install that I wouldn't mind cutting up.
