Default Best location to route stereo wires in C5

I noticed my center console was getting hairline cracks all over the place. I pulled it out to repair them. The source I believe is sound system cables that were routed under neath it so it is unevenly stressed / torqued against stereo cables.

I was curious is there a better place to route cables than under console? I was thinking of removing the passenger seat and routing them under the carpet.

What do you guys recommend? It's for a sub and two amps located in the trunk.

Along the side of the tunnel works, just watch that you don't get one stuck in the e-brake.
