Looking to upgrade C6 stereo
I don't want nor need top of the line parts. I just want to get rid of the garbage stock Bose. Not spending a fortune on this.
One simple 10" sub, 5 channel amp & component sets in the doors should suffice.
What would you recommend? Feel free to recommend another avenue as well.

Everyone would tell you to speak with Dennis @ Double D Mods. As did I a few days ago...Tell him exactly what you want and he will take care of it. I'm doing the same thing less the 10" sub.

Spend a few days looking and comparing all of the systems that you can put together. Get prices and all the specs and you will get a good idea of what is available and that will get you a ballpark price for the system that you want. Then call Double D Mods and be ready to order. I spent weeks looking and trying to decide. Then I wasn't sure what would sound good and be the best deal for the money. I placed an order today with Double D mods and I feel confident that I will get the best system for the money. He has a lot of experience with systems for the corvettes.

You could go with a bridgeable 4-channel amp with 1/2 to fronts and 3/4 bridged to sub, then use HU internal amp to rears (even stock rears are fine for that). Make sure that however you do it you plan ahead and get a sub and speakers with ratings that work well with the amp specs.
I like Pioneer HU's over Kenwood for the user interface. Go to a local shop to play with them to see what you prefer.

To stay away from the junk, you're prob looking at $125-150 for the components and $150-200 for an amp. If you can DIY the sub box it will save you a bit.
