Default Help Wiring Z110BT in C6

I'm having a heck of a time getting my Z110BT properly functioning with my car (08 1LT). I have the OS2C harness (OnStar w/ no Bose). Can anybody give me a list of all the connections that need to be made so I can rewire it and know it's right? Thanks a bunch!

What isn't working?

Are you using stock amp/speakers or aftermarket?

The OS2C Instructions aren't the easiest to follow, but they do work.

I'm using the stock speakers and amp. I get a ton of alternator whine and static when the rear speakers are hooked up, but only static when they are disconnected. I want to double check my wiring first.

Maybe you need a ground loop isolator something like this.

Not sure why it only happens on the rears, maybe swap the wiring for the front and rear and see if the problem moves, could be a bad HU.

Also make sure you have a good ground.

I've tried switching the wiring and the noise doesn't move to the front. Also, the rear speakers are fine as they make no noise with the stock headunit. I've tried grounding directly on the headunit and that didn't change anything either. I've tested the AVIC in another car and it works perfectly, so it's not a bad unit either!

Are the rear speaker wires run to close to any power wires? When you switched the outputs the rears were still noisy and fronts were not? If that's the case it has to be the wires or speakers IMO.

I don't think they are, but the previous owner did have the battery relocated into one of the trunk cubbys so maybe that's a possibility?

Nope, power wire isn't near the speaker wires.

There is a guy Dennis Drummer he runs Double D Mods and is a very smart guy and very willing to help even if you did not buy your stuff from him. I would give him a call and see what he recommends.

Sooo....

1 - You're getting alternator whine, but only on the rear speakers, and it doesn't matter if front or rear HU output is feeding the rears.

2 - There is static through any connected speaker.

3 - HU itself is fine in another car.

The OS2C would be at the top of my list

Should I try and get a replacement or a whole different harness?

However you can get one, I'd try a different interface.

I believe the RP5-GM11 is the latest model (verify that), but if it's the interface another OS2C would work also.
