Default White Noise After NEX8000 Install

I installed a Pioneer NEX8000 in my non-Bose w/ Onstar using the PQC OS2C and everything works fine except for the fact that I have constant white noise once the head unit is powered up. It does not increase with RPM's.

With car ON and HU on mute, if you power HU on/off does the noise come and go?

If yes...
Pull radio out and unplug all of the radio connectors. With car ON, use a jumper wire to connect B+ to the wire that the blue/white HU wire connects to.

This will power up the OS2C and stock amp without the radio inputs. If noise is present, the OS2C is the problem. No noise, it may be the radio, but could still be the OS2C or something else.

B+ is the constant +12v battery supply wire. It's the yellow wire on the NEX power harness.

If you're trying to do the test I described above, the easiest way would be to use a paper clip bent into a U shape to jumper between the yellow and blue/white wires on the NEX harness after it's removed from the radio.

To be safe, wear a glove or put some tape around the paper clip so you aren't touching the metal

Leave the OS2C plugged in and unplug the radio harness from the head unit?

Yes. Then put in jumper, if you have the noise it's prob the OS2C.

That makes it sound like the OS2C is the problem.

I'm trying to get a hold of Dennis to see if he'll replace it. It's not even a year old.
