Do I cut both of these brackets or just the top one? Is it necessary to move the ac controls down?

You need to remove the top one. The a/c control moves down slightly but it is easy. Wait until you are actually installing the radio to see how much.

Do you have a console made already?

Where do you want the head unit installed?

My pioneer fit in that top slot just fine, but I had to bend the back of the top bracket down to get it in. It was not easy. I should have just removed it and cut the back off with an angle grinder.

Yes I had mine done by double d mods
