Default Want good audio with stock HU and top down

Hi guys,

I am thinking about upgrading the audio system on my C5 coupe.
I do a lot of cruising with the targa top out and subsequently I need a bit more volume and in all would like a bit better audio quality. I want to keep the OEM HU as I like the OEM look with the rest of the cockpit controls.

Any tips welcome.

Regards,
Raymond

Figure out what your total budget is, and call Dennis at DoubleDmods.com

I had a similar issue with windows down and the roof off of my C6 while driving on the interstate. My first step was replacing the h/u with a Kenwood in hopes of increasing sound level and quality enough to be the only change. Unfortunately, as many have already discovered, it was't enough of a difference. So, I sent Dennis an email describing what I was looking for without wanting to break the bank. A few days later, I received everything I need to replace the stock speakers and add a corner sub for about $500 less than I could have purchased elsewhere. Responsiveness and customer service was excellent and I highly recommend him!
