Default Wiring harness for 2007 c6?

I'm still unsure what wiring harness I need or if I can use the factory harness to install an aftermarket headunit.

Is it absolutely necessary to buy the peripheral module to retain the chimes? Only chimes I can really think of are no seat belts, and door ajar while accessory is on?

I've got everything ordered and on the way except the dang harness. I've researched and can't seem to find a 110% clear answer to what exactly I need or if I can use the factory wiring harness.

2007 c6 non bose, no onstar etc. 1lt.

This would be easier if you put all of your questions and info in one thread

You haven't supplied all of the needed info yet to give a definite answer.

Do you have OnStar and want to keep it? If yes, you need an adapter (but not the C2R-GM24).

Do you want to retain chimes? If yes, you need an adapter.

Do you want to retain R.A.P.? If yes, you need an adapter.

Are you keeping the stock amp/speakers? If yes, you need an adapter.

If you don't mind losing above listed features, and you're replacing HU, amp, all speakers, and all wiring, then all you need from the car is constant and switched power, so no adapter absolutely required, but it is still recommended.

I know, i tried deleting my other thread ;( I don't have onstar or anything alike.

I don't plan on replacing the speakers.

Would like to keep the chimes but done need to.

Sorry I was somewhat vague, didn't know all of that factored in. But that's why I had to ask

Mind linking me to the proper harness or kit I need?
