2008 none Bose new head unit installed .
It sounds better with new kenwood Excelon 393 .
? Now would repacing the rear 5.25 and door 3.5
Make a differance or do I need a new amp to do this .

? What's the next step with out braking the bank .
5.25 an 3.5 speakers are cheap .

Changing the front and rear twiddlers for 2-way aftermarkets will get you more defined high notes, but it won't add any volume.

What would be a good brand ?
I know some brands are more power hungry
And with stock amp I would think a more efficient speaker would be better ?

Any standard 4-ohm speaker works fine.

Many have been happy with the Polk db351 and db521

Ok after doing some time with the new head unit it Has enough volume With the targa top on don't know about open air ? Yes needs more highs and I'm not in big subs or boooom but could use tighter Bass or punch . New center dash ,doors and rear speakers $200
Sub 5 channel amp component speakers ? North of 1k

Leaning on new speakers only ......but I'll give it some time .....now doing the header thing.

Maybe just a bit, but it will sound better without the summed left/right signals.
