Year and model of car, along with speaker location would be nice to know

However, rears in C5 coupe would require 6.5 to 5.25 adapter rings, all other C5/C6/C7 rears would be simple drop in replacements.

I have the same question, but on a 1996 where the speakers are in the kick panel and not the door.

I found the following post while looking for ideas on installing an amplifier. It has a section early on about modifying the front speaker area, but I'm not sure if it will help if your speakers are in the door.

Would those work for the late model C4 where the front speaker is in the kick panel rather than the door?

No, Those are designed for 84-89 C4 door panels. I used them in my car which is an 89.

I asked because the OP was talking about a 90 and I was talking about a 96.
