Default 2004 stereo questions

So I was searching Crutchfield for single din Pioneer and most of the options say you need to unbolt or cut the brackets for fit. Is it an unbolt or do you really need to cut out things? I hate that it wont use a double unless you go pay 3-400 for a new bezel but that is life.

I had to cut the rivets of the OEM bracket to fit in a single DIN Pioneer. I used a 90 degree drill and a shop vac. Took about ten minutes.
