Default Installing OEM Nav unit in base C6

The link in the FAQ thread is dead, and I couldn't find the info anywhere else...

I have a 2008 3LT that I replaced the Nav radio on. I have a friend that wants to buy the Nav radio to install in his c6 convertible. Once the radio is installed in his car, does he have to go to the dealer to reprogram the radio for it to work in his car? And if so, what is a reasonable price to pay?

I hope your friend has GPS antenna already installed, if not he will have to have one to get it to work.

Yes, the dealership has to mate it to the car, I hear most dealerships will charge hour of labor, whatever your dealerships labor rate might be in your town.

I got it done for $50. See the service manager. It's all of a ten minute (or less) procedure.
