C6 W/Bose stereo Soup to Nuts upgrade
OK, I'm doing a total upgrade from the stock Bose 9 Speaker system in my 2013 Base model to one of my own design. This is my first time so be gentle with feedback and inputs.
My question to the group is:
1) Can the stock Bose Amp be removed without impacting any other systems? or to ask it another way, Is the Bose Amp tied into any other systems so that I will need to keep it or can I just disconnect and remove it?
2) Any "gotcha's" that others have dealt with and conquered?
3) Is it ok to use one of the grounds I see just behind each seat?
Here is what I'm installing.
- Head Unit: Pioneer AVH-X4800BS
- Doors: Rockford Fosgate Power T152-S 5-1/4" component speaker system
- B-Pillar: Rockford Fosgate Power T152 5-1/4" 2-way speakers
- Subs: 2x JL Audio 8W1v3-4 8" 4-ohm subwoofer
- Amp: Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000X5 5-channel amp
- Wiring: NVX XKIT46 for 5 Channel

I'm really just looking for answers to my questions at this point.
Since I had to remove the actuators on the hatch in order to remove the B pillar trim I made a prop rod for the rear hatch. It's just a 2x4 in which I cut a notch out for the weather stripping on the bottom and screwed a hook into the top that wraps around the bracket on the hatch. It's fairly secure so there is no concern with kicking it out while I'm in the cargo area.
