C6 - Aftermarket speakers and head unit (base model)
I'm reading in a lot of threads that to replace the front speakers, you need to add a 2 channel amp. If you replace the HU AND speakers, do you still need an aftermarket amp? I'm wondering if this is just an issue if you use the stock head unit and aftermarket speakers.

No. You can swap out the front speakers alone. Going with an aftermarket HU will improve in and of itself. Do yourself a favor-contact Dennis at Double DMods and speak with him. He not only will give you great advice on what you want achieve or where you want to end up, but sells at great prices. And unlike many-he will NOT up sell you.
