C5 Auto to Manual Climate Control Swap
I'm not a big fan of the big stupid GM buttons and crappy dual zone climate control in my C5. I'd like to install the rotary manual type in place of the
auto one.
Can it be done? I hear yes and no. Anybody done it? Anything is possbible, but I don't intend to rip out the whole dash and duct work to do it.

I haven't seen anybody do it yet, but I was thinking about doing the same thing. The auto A/C has a mind of its own. :yesnod:

Re: C5 Auto to Manual Climate Control Swap (mrkln)
I was reading therough my step-dads GM ASEP instructor manuals a while back. It didn't really mention any differences externally between the two. Best bet would be to se if the GM parts guy can show you the two face to face and compare. Or if you know someone with a 1SA option vette, try hot swapping. :grouphug:

Got to looking atsome more, the biggest challenge would be from going to manual to auto control not vice versa. The automatic control uses three or four feedback sensors for valve position and difference in driver pass/temps. "Should" just be a direct swap. :steering:
