Custom Acrylic Displays - Any Recommendations?
Hi,
After checking with a few local hobby stores, I need to move online in search of a company that creates custom acrylic displays. I've performed some searches, however I'm hoping someone in the Corvette community can provide a recommendation.
I recently obtained the authentic transmission gear shaft with the 1st and 2nd gears from the 2015 winning LeMan's Car at a Corvette show silent auction. I also have on order the AutoArt 1:18 scale model of this car (#64) and would like to create a custom display that includes the die-cast model and the transmission/gear components.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks!

Any other options/ideas/picture examples?
Below is a picture of the components with a 1:18 scale C6R to provide a better scale representation of what I'm trying to build.

Bump. Any other recommendations? I'm hoping some other hobbyist has gone down this path before.

I would suggest a walk through Hobby Lobby. First off, they have an online coupon for 40% off one item every single day. Pick out an Acrylic case from the Model section. Wander around the other craft aisles and see if something jumps out at you as something you could either modify or maybe even use as is to hold the gears and the shaft. I'm betting inspiration will strike, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Hope this helps!! P.s., Michaels might work, but I personally prefer Hobby Lobby simply because of the HUUUUUUUUGE selection of stuff for dorks like me.
