The real benefit of Delrin over poly is that Delrin actually holds up. Even the best poly bushings are basically junk. The stuff from Energy Suspension lasts less than one season.

This is a good example.

so how long do the delrin last, and is there an advantage over metal (aside from class rules)?

We have had them in corvettes for three years. No know issues.

Much quieter than heim joints and less expensive.

After all of my issues with poly bushings I decided to measure different bushings with my durometer. The results vary depending on which company made the bushing. The yellow one is what Energy Suspension created for me after I destroyed the red one. Just for a comparison I checked my Michelin street tires. They measured 75 on this scale.

I know that aluminum will be 100 on the durometer. Anyone care to check their Delrin bushings?

I was a little surprised that they can actually make the poly bushings as hard as they did. I've always been a big fan of Delrin - but the yellow bushing is getting very close.

you guys should offer a discount for people that have polys already or have already removed the original bushings since a good portion of the labor would be done. Im sure the reduced price would attract even more buyers!

out of curiosity - do you prep rally cars (i know youre involved with subaru road racing) and in those situations do you opt for delrin or sphericals? Im wondering about how much impact force delrin can take from hard jumps...
