Hallett Road Course - 2/12/05 (TX, OK, etc)

There's a COMMA event which ANYONE can race at for $75 in Hallett, Oklahoma on 2/12/05. I'm from North Dallas and I'm going! Anyone else in?
I used to race here a lot when I lived in Oklahoma. It's an incredible track. Heard it was one of the 5th most technical tracks in the country due to all the elevation changes.
Thanks,
Chris

Here is a link to the track:

FYI, they run the track both clockwise and counterclockwise.
It's a very challenging track and lots of fun (my sig pic is from there ). It's also a rough surface and will beat you up a bit, so be prepared. In general they run five 15 minute sessions (they used to run 20 minutes but stopped due to too many folks boiling the brake fluid and mowing the grass or getting acquainted with the tire walls).
In addition to the $75, you must also be a COMMA member. $35 for the year.
We always stay at a Hampton Inn, which is about 25 minutes from the track. Wish I could make it, but the new engine hasn't been WOT tuned yet (that gets done in March ).

I'm pretty certain anyone can run, they are not too picky from what i've noticed. You could always call em I guess and see what they say.
Hey 96GS! I think I remember racing with you awhile back at Hallett. I used to have a black NSX with a few mods. I'd race out there from time to time. I remember seeing a vette just like yours there awhile back.

We'll both be packing track tires this year so we should be a bit more competitive Not sure of the date, but 3 or 4 of us will be down there at least once this year. So many tracks, so little time!

It's an open track event. Run what you brung and have fun. They do have rules on passing...none allowed in the turns and you have to wait for a wave by. For the most part everyone is pretty good about letting the faster cars by. Having said that, when we were there last, there were two Mustangs that were bound and determined to block the Corvettes...but we got by
What makes it attractive is the price, not having to worry about Grandma pulling out in front of you, and not worrying about seeing flashing lights in your mirror.
