I'm contemplating putting on some 1.6RRs too... I've been following the F-Body bros on their experiences with it... I'm not sure if there are any head differences between LT1 Vettes/Z28s/TAs, I doubt it though... Some of the F-Body'ers I talk to have no problems putting 1.6RRs on but others have said that they had to change the springs also when doing this because of coil bind and I thinkn one guy even had a broken spring...

Coil bind as explained to me is like this...

With 1.5 ratio rocker arms, at full travel, there is a certain amount of clearance between each coil on the spring... After 1.6s are installed the clearance if close at 1.5 ratio will probably cause the coils to actually stack on top of one another before the rocker has even gone it's full travel.. Causing possible spring, lifter, or rocker failure/damage...

With the LT4 setups, the springs are a different part# than our standard LT1s... I've also been told even without coil bind that when you leave the stock springs in they will become weaker faster than usual because of the increased compression of the spring...
