Default My car is in Grass Roots Motorsports magazine

Hey, if you get Grass Roots Motorsports magazine, check out the Nitto NT01 advertisement on the back cover. That is my #897 2004 Z16 they used for the ad!

Oli,

Technically, the outside back cover is not "in" the mag

Congrats...so where/when was the picture taken? ...and what happened to the CCW's?

HI Joe!

I still have the CCWs. In fact, I have three sets... one set with polished aluminum centers, a set with powder-coated red centers and another set with black powder-coated centers. And then I have the set you see in the photoshoot I did with the advertising firm, plus my OEM polished Z16 wheels. I guess that is five sets of wheels in total!

Believe it or not, that photo was not even taken on a track. It was on the top floor of a parking garage in Long Beach. They set up the cameras, ladders, etc for different angles and such. They had me sitting in the car doing stuff like I was really driving. I guess they have seen me drive and figure that was safer and the only way they could make me and the car look like we are going fast!

Anyway, it goes to show you the power of Photoshop, et al. They pasted in the candy cane track curbing, the reflection of the curbing in the car body, the look of the front wheel turning/blurring, etc.

Congratulations, great picture!

I was looking at that this evening thinking how sharp it was. I like those red wheels.

Is that a roll bar? I didn't see any cage leg going down the "A" pillar.

Very cool, looking at it right now , Congratulations

It's even the right color , I am a blue fanatic......A lot of patriotic colors in that ad, wander why

Did they photoshop that front wheel stance in the fender, or does your car sit that low???? If it were actually at speed that side would be unloaded.

At any rate your car in the mag is a cool thing

Very I like those red Z06 wheels on the Z16. Are those anodized, painted or powdercoated?

Also, where was the photo taken and who took it?

Congrats, Oli, great to see, I have the mag beside the computer and was only 13 pages in and might not have ever got to the back cover. Actually Joe's copy of the pic is brighter than my real page. Good to see Vette's getting some press.

Can't sleep Oli? It is 0500 there, I am only on my first coffee and I am 3 time zones ahead of you! You must be on the TV news!

I just came back from two weeks in a time zone 7 hours ahead of of Pacific time so it just seemed like I had slept in by 4 AM!
