What's the best vette driving school for learning how to drive these cars on the track? I'd like a lot of seat time for the 3 day prices!

Henry Gilberts "experience" at Roebling Rd. Cross between and HDPE and a "fantasy camp" depending on the student, but they supply the cars (8 C5 & C6 vettes, a few of them race cars). I've instructed several times, and am impressed. It is NOT a racing school, but a great learning experience, and a nice technical track.

Dave's right. Henry's school is very good, but they do supply the cars. If you want to take your own, I manage to instruct for Car Guys and Chin Motorsports (formerly TracQuest) every once in a while and they are excellent.
My best recommendation is to go to a "Pro School" like the ones mentioned first, and then link up with the club guys (Vette, Porsche, BMW, Audi, Mazda, etc) and gets lots and lots of cheap seat time!
You can check out Coco's website (www.trackschedule.com) for a complete list of schools.

There are many many great schools out there. Those that have been mentioned are excellent.
The Nataional Corvette Museum does HPDEs as well. YOu drive your own corvette ( or other car) and have your own in car instructor, plus a class room instructor.
David Farmer and Chris Ingle have instructed for us in the past and hopfully they will do so again. Plus many many other great instructors.
We are also fortunate that Chevrolet and GM will provide 10 engineers and or production managers as students. We get to teach the ppl who design the Corvettes/Solstics/other GM performance cars we love how to drive them/ Plus Tom Wallace will attend our events.
Our only challange for studends is that we fill up with in a few hours / days of opening registration. So we tend to be filled several months prior to the event.
Our next event is Oct 28-29 at Carolina Motorsports Park in SC. Forutnitly for the NCM and unfortunitly for potental students the event is filled.
In 2007 the NCM is tenativly planning three events; Texas in April, VIR in June and T-Hill (Calf) in Nov.
Any HPDE or race school that you can go to you will learn a lot about your car and yourself.
The only BAD thing about attending a Driving or Race school, is it is addictive. They are like potato chips, you cant have just one.

(driving with Henry caused an intense addiction to tracking my vette)
