Through an ingenious distribution system, water is plumbed to the heads beneath the exhaust ports, and returned via the core plug holes in the block.

Appearances can be deceiving, as a look inside the manifold reveals. The plenum intake was epoxy-filled over a plaster mold to effectively produce a single-plane manifold within its confines.
